August 14th, 2008 Just before midnight units from stations 15, 21, 40, 17, 36, and 34 responded to report of a house fire on Fallen Oak Court in Chantilly. Engine 21 was first on scene and reported fire showing through the roof. Engine 15 arrived as a crew from engine 21 were avancing a line throught the front door, the crew from engine 15 took a line to the rear of the home where there was a lot of fire on the exterior of the building. The fire was brought under control quickly and crews began leaving the scene by 1am.
August 2008 Fire station 15 welcomes Probationary FireMedic Matt G., 'C' shift and probationary FireFighter Steven Gauntner 'B' shift from the 125th recruit class.
July 9th, 2008 On the afternoon of July 9th stations 15 and 21 responded to an overturned vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center. In spite of the damage to the vehicle, there were only minor injuries.

May 19, 2008 On May 19 prior to 0800 an engine from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority was performing a pump test at the 'pit' at station 15. At some point the pump overheated and the interior of the engine caught fire. The crew of engine 415 'C' shift pulled to the rear of the station and using the bumper and booster lines put out the fire.

May 18, 2008 On May 18 around 1500 'B' shift was called to a 'dryer fire' on Chantilly Lace Ct.
Upon arrival heavy smoke was noted on the 2nd floor through the open front door.
The crew of engine 415 advanced an 1 3/4 line through the front door and the fire was put out quickly. There was no extension to the main body of the house, and the smoke was removed by truck 436.
January 13, 2008 On January 13th Rescue Squad 421 came to the fire station and 'B' shift did a little cutting! The auto being destroyed was donated by a member of 'B' shift.
First you have to make it look like it has been in a wreck :)

May 8, 2006 The members of company 15 would extend their sympathy to the families of Master Police Officer Mike Garbarino and Detective Vickie Armel. Both officers lost there lives at during an incident at our local district police station. Click here for their memorial pages.
May 30, 2006 C Shift, around 1950 hours 3rd battalion units were dispatched to St. Germain Dr. in Centreville for a fire in an apartment. Truck 438 arrived first to find smoke showing from a vacant apartment building. Engine 417 arrived and laid a supply line that Engine 438 supplied. Engine 415 arrived and Captain Runnels assumed the command on side A. Truck 438 advised they had a working for in the hallway on the second floor and were hitting it with a can. Engine 417 advanced a line while Engine 415's crew threw ladders and started outside vent. Engine 415's crew then assisted with checking for extension. Engine 15 was out for about an hour.
May 30, 2006 While Engine 415 was operating at the apartment building fire, several Fairfax County Fire units were dispatched to Dulles Airport at the border of company 15's first due for an aircraft emergency. Units responded for an aircraft enroute to land with no front landing gear. Medic 415 was dispatched to stage at the airport. The aircraft landed without the front landing gear. Units assessed all patients on the airplane.
May 28, 2006 C Shift, at 1130 hours units were dispatched to the Fair Oaks district, Collis Oak Ct., for the townhouse fire. Engine 421 arrived first to find smoke showing from a middle units townhouse. Engine 415 arrived second and took 21's water supply. As engine 415's crew entered the structure to assist with finding the fire, engine 421 advised they had a working basement fire. Engine 415 assisted with advancing the line to the basement. As 21 extinguished the fire, engine 415 controlled utilities and assisted with checking for extension. Units operated for about and hour and a half.
May 23, 2006 C Shift, Units were dispatched at 1830 hours for an abandoned house fire in the chantilly district. Engine 415 arrived first to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the second floor. Engine 415 and 436 started with an exterior attack. Engine and Rescue 421 arrived and began removing all of the boards for doors and windows. Once the bulk of fire was knocked down, engine and rescue 421 moved into structure to complete fire extinguishment. Units operated for just under 4 hours. Click here for more photos
March 28, 2006 C Shift, After a busy morning on the westside of the county with 2 working fires, Engine 415 and Truck 438 were clearing a fire alarm while company 4 was arriving at a working apartment fire. Truck 438 was sent to standby at station 15. Just after arriving Engine 415 and Truck 438 were dispatched to a building fire first alarm in Loudon County. While enroute just blocks from station 15 a heavy column of smoke was visible. Engine 415 and Truck 438 arrived to find two engines from Loudon County on the scene battling a heavy fire consuming two middle units of a townhouse. Engine 415 dropped a supply line at the scene and reverse laid to the hydrant. Truck 438 Set up at the corner of Side A/B. Engine 415's crew advanced a 2 1/2 inch hand line into the second fire building. Eventually crews from Loudon County and Fairfax County attacked the fire from inside the exposures while Truck 438 ladder piped the two fully involved units. Units operated for just over 3 hours. October 31, 2005 A Shift, while E415 was operating on another incident, they were dispatched on a 15 Box for a fire in a hotel on Brookfield Corporate Drive. E438 was already enroute for the fire alarm, the box was upgraded. Callers reported fire alarms sounding and smoke from a room on the 3rd floor. Units arrived to find a fire contained by the sprinkler system. Units controlled sprinkler system and confirmed extinguishment. Units operated for 90 minutes. October 27, 2005 C Shift, Dispatched for a house fire on Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. Units arrived to find abandoned house in 15's first due with heavy fire showing. Units operated on fire for just over two hours. Units: E415, E619, E609, TL436, R421, A619, BC403.
October 19, 2005 C Shift, Dispatched for a building fire at the Target off Lee Road. E415 arrived to find a working compacter fire attached to the building. Units isolated fire from building and extinguished fire. Truck companies ventilated smoke from rear of building. Units operated for about 50 minutes. Units: E415, E436, E421, E619, TL436, T438, R421, M415, BC403, BC443, EMS 403, EMS 401.
September 27, 2005 C Shift, accident with entrapment and small fire at 4200 block of Stringfellow Rd. Engine 415 arrived to find 2 vehicle accident with one being overturned having entrapment. R421 extricated patient and was transported by Fairfax Police helicopter. Another patient was transported by ground. Units: E415, R421, M415, A619, BC403, EMS 403
September 25, 2005 A Shift, accident with possible entrapment and fire on SB Rt 28. Engine 415 on location with 1 SUV into the jersey wall with fire and no entrapment. Pt was being treated by bystanders when units arrived. SUV had hit jersey wall head-on and had fire in the engine compartment. Patient was transported to Fair Oaks by A436. Units dispatched: E415 M415 BC403 EMS403 R421 A436
September 21, 2005 A Shift works a car fire on Stringfellow Road and the Chantilly Library. The 1984 Monte Carlos was a loss. This was the first fire for Probationary Firefighter Kelly Johnston.
September 15, 2005 Technician Ebersole is deployed to Mississippi to provide fire protection. Fairfax County along with other DC region departments sent firefighters and apparatus to relieve firefighters in Mississippi. They have arrived save and had to working incidents their first shift. We wish them well and hope for a safe return.

July 22, 2005 0005 hours, C-Shift, Engine 415 was dispatched on a box assignment in Centreville. Just after units responded there were multiple reports of heavy fire from a townhouse. Engine 417 arrived to find heavy fire showing from 3 floors of a townhouse end unit. E417 and R421 made an aggressive attack knocking some of the fire down from outside prior to entering the building. E415 arrived and was assigned RIT. E415 assisted with ladder placement on Side A and exterior ventilation of third floor. Fire was brought under control in about 25 minutes.
May 10, 2005 0930 hours C- Shift Engine 415
responded and arrived 1st due engine for a house fire on Pavilion Lane in the
Green Briar district. R421 arrived to find a house with smoke showing from
the second floor. E415 arrived and laid supply line. R421 located
the fire as E415 advanced a line to the second floor and extinguished the fire.
Units operated 2 1/2 hours. Units: Engines 415, 436, 431, 433, Tower
436, Rescue 421, Medic 415, Battalion 403, EMS 401, Safety Officer
May 1, 2005 2300 hours C-Shift Engine 415 responded 2nd due to a reported house fire on Memory Lane in the Green Briar district . E421/R421 Arrived on the scene to find light smoke showing from side B. R421 made entry and found a working fire in the laundry room. E421 advanced a line while E415 picked up their supply line. E415 crew performed a primary search and handled ventilation on the 2nd floor. Units from 421, 415 and 436 operated for around hour. Units: Engine 421, 415, 417, 434, Tower 436, Rescue 421, Ambulance 434, Battalion 403, EMS 401.
April 27, 2005 C-Shift Engine and Medic 415 responded to a
reported townhouse fire with entrapment in the Fair Oaks district. While
units were responding, they were advised at least one person jumped from the 2nd
floor window. Rescue 421 arrived first to find a townhouse with smoke
showing. E415 arrived and reported to the fire floor to assist company 21.
Fire held to the second floor with no extension into the exposures. Units
dispatched, Engines 421, 415, 434, 403, Tower 436, Truck 403, Rescue 421, Medic
415, Battalion 403, Battalion 443, EMS 403, Safety Officer.
April 7, 2005 A Shift arrived 3rd due for this well involved 2 alarm townhouse fire on Hardee Chambill Ct. in Centreville. E415 positioned on side C. E415 operated for 2 1/2 hours. Units: Engine 438, 417, 415, 421, Trucks 438, 403, Rescue 421, Ambulance 438, Battalion 403 and 443, EMS 403 and 402, 2nd Alarm units, Engines 434, 436, 416, Tower 436, Medic 417, Light/Air 438, Canteen 417, Safety Officer, Deputy Chief of Operations, Assistant Chief of Operations, BC401 and EMS 405.
