| March 11, 2009 'B' Shift on duty

| Engine and Medic 415 were dispatched, 2nd due, for a house fire on Kinross circle. E415 arrived as E436 was laying out and hooked up to be water supply for the attack engine. The crew of engine 436 took a line to the rear of the house and made entry to put out the basement fire while E415's crew took a second crosslay to the top of the interior stairs for protection. The fire was quickly extinguished and the crew of Rescue 421 saved a guinea pig and two cats. | ||||||||

| Before 5am Wednesday morning Engine and Truck 438 responded to a fire alarm at the Chantilly National Country Club. Smoke was noted upon their arrival and the box was filled. Engine 415 responded along with engines 417 and 440. A second alarm was struck and Medic 415 responded as part of the RIT level 2 dispatch. The fire was brought under control by a blast from truck 438 and some interior mopup work. | ||||||||

| Just before midnight units from stations 15, 21, 40, 17, 36, and 34 responded to report of a house fire on Fallen Oak Court in Chantilly. Engine 21 was first on scene and reported fire showing through the roof. Engine 15 arrived as a crew from engine 21 were avancing a line throught the front door, the crew from engine 15 took a line to the rear of the home where there was a lot of fire on the exterior of the building. The fire was brought under control quickly and crews began leaving the scene by 1am. | ||||||||

|
On May 19 prior to 0800 an engine from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority was performing a pump test at the 'pit' at station 15. At some point the pump overheated and the interior of the engine caught fire. The crew of engine 415 'C' shift pulled to the rear of the station and using the bumper and booster lines put out the fire. |
